What happens when you win a YDB Comp?

Some of you may already know the feeling, but winning a Your Dream Bag competition feels pretty fantastic if we do say so ourselves. We want it to be special and a super smooth experience – it’s something we take so much pride in! 

If you were wondering what the process will be if you win one of our draws, no problem, we’re breaking it down for you here. That way, if you win (and we’ve got our fingers crossed for you), you’ll know how it works. 

How do you know if you’ve won a YDB competition?

Okay, so you’ve purchased your tickets, maybe even treated yourself to an Odd’s Booster – now what? Well, firstly, you’ll have to wait until draw day. If you’re not sure when it is, check on our site or keep an eye on our socials. You’ll also be able to see if it’s an autodraw or live draw. 

We do our draws on Wednesdays at around 8 pm. If we’re on live, your name will be called out, but don’t worry if you’re not able to join us, as you’ll also receive an email to say that you’ve won! 

If that week is an autodraw, the winner’s email will be in your inbox shortly after the competition ends, so make sure you check after the competition has ended.  

What happens next?

If you have won (yay!), then it’s time to contact us. Once you’ve emailed us back, we’ll confirm the delivery address (this will most likely be the address you registered with). Rest assured though, if we don’t hear from you you’ll still receive your prize!

Just know, the prize will need to be signed for, and will, in most cases, be delivered by 1 pm the day after it’s been sent to you. This means that for a Wednesday draw, you should receive your prize by Friday (very speedy!). 

We like to get your prize over to you ASAP so you’re not waiting to enjoy it, but if you’re not going to be home, you can always ask us to hold off sending it or let us know a better place to send it to. 

We completely understand if you’re busy and miss our email, so if we don’t hear from you by 10 am on the morning after the draw, the prize will be shipped to the address we have on file, and we will keep an eye on shipping to make sure it arrives safely. 

The fabulous Philippa takes all of our prizes to the post office herself (if it’s too heavy, we make sure it’s shipped by courier instead). As our prizes are high value (and pretty iconic), we tend to send them with the Royal Mail Next-Day Delivery service.

How do we pack your prize? 

One of our favourite parts of the whole process is packing up all the goodies for our winners. Every prize item is checked by the team to make sure it’s brand new and undamaged, so nothing ruins your excitement when it gets to you. 

We then carefully package it up, making sure it’s sealed properly. We also include a handwritten card in there, and we may even add a little gift. Hopefully, when you open it, you’ll be able to tell how thrilled we are for you and how much we loved putting it all together. 

Once you’ve opened the package (and gotten over how amazing your prize is, of course), please do send us a picture of you with it. It makes our day, and we’d love to share them on our socials! (There may be a free ticket in it if you do…)

Can you only win once?

Here at Your Dream Bag, we love our returning customers, and a few lucky so-and-sos have won two or even multiple times. Everyone is welcome to play again, whether you win or not. As long as everyone sticks to our rules and does what works for them, we’ve got our fingers crossed for you!
